Default Help with line out converter

I have a 00 Sierra with the stock stereo. I purchased a line out converter and tapped it into the front speaker wires behind the head unit. However I am not getting and signal to the amp/sub. The amp powers on and works fine, but it's just not getting any sound signal from the stereo.

what line out converter did you use?
are you 100% sure you wired it correctly?

the amp coming on just means you have main power/sig power/ground going to it, it doesn't require input to power up

And also the amp can turn on and have audio signal in but it can be burn, first check with another audio source like an ipod with a RCA/jack wire , if the amp works then next will be the line out converter not working or wired wrong .

Well I connected an mp3 player directly to the rca input on the amp and nothing was still coming out of the sub...so I guess that means the amp is no good?
