How much sounds deadening
I've got a 03 extended cab. Wanting to put sound deadening on the floor, all 4 doors and to the bottom of the back glass. Anyone know approx how much material I will need to get this done. Also do u know of any that r cheaper than dynamat?

I used 200 square feet in my wife's Yukon XL and did everything 2 and 3 times. I used Damplifier Pro and it worked awesome. 200 square feet was like $700 shipped. If you are only wanting to do it once I would say about 70 square feet would be about right. That is 2 bulk kits. I have 2 bulk kits in my Camaro and it is almost completely covered. You can't IMO have too much.

I used the company secondskin, which as far as I can tell is the same thing as dynamat only cheaper. I don't recall how much I used. However, I will tell you that it was worth it. At the time I had short tube headers and a flowmaster 40 dumped before the axle. My truck droned pretty bad. Coins rattled around, interior panels shook, etc. Kind of a pain in the *** at a certain RPM. I covered the floorboard, doors, and back wall of the truck and I'm impressed. The difference is definitely noticeable to me. The only regret I have is that I also installed long tube headers and did away with my cats at the same time. My truck is much louder than it was before and it has much less drone than it did. All in all, I'd do it again.
