iPod Help in an 03 Yukon
so what do i need to do to hook up my iPod direct on my Yukon. 2003 with factory bose, 6 disc in dash changer with the band/cd-aux button. I have done some searching but wanted to get suggestions, opinions, and pics if you got em.

i have a kit that Peripheral makes that i got from BestBuy. the part number is ISGM73, i had it on my 03' with Bose and now its in the 04' with Bose as well. you can probably find it online pretty cheap, i think i gave $100+ for it but dont remember exactly.

the ISGM73 is not hard to install, just acts as a mediary. Unplug the 16 pin connector from the back of your radio, plug it into the unit, plug the unit back into the radio, run the wire to your glovebox or console, I think thats it.

so most everyone is using the peripheral....anyone got pics of their setup....looking for a mount/holder for the old school iPod, 160gb i think, (the big one)
also, dumb question, but i CANNOT get the factory deck to come out of the dash, feels like all the wiring doesn't have any slack in it...do i have to pull the dash apart to get to the back of it?

i just have the hook up for the ipod in the little side pocket in the glovebox, i never take it out because i control it with the steering wheel control, all i have to do is push play on the ipod and throw it back in there. as for the radio it sould have enough slack to get back behind it to unplug it, if not then i dont know how you could get behind it. make sure the harness isnt hooked on anything.
