JL 500/1... come inside
anyone know what this combo will produce, and what can you tell me of my choices? load type, power output, etc?
Hauler: 05 Sierra CCSB 1500
Lows: (2) Pioneer iB shallow 10's
Amp: JL 1st gen Slash Series 500/1 mono (has 2 sets of speaker inputs)
The way I understand it (and I am probably wrong) is that the 500 watt mono amp will split the amps power output evenly to 2 subs (250 watts to each.) Is this also what the RMS power output will be? I think I've read that these subs will hold up to 400 watts RMS? Am i missing any details, or any suggestions?
thx, shannon.

U will love that amp I have it with just one kicker comp cvr and it hits so nice and it's very clear bass. That amp is amazing for the price. I think just about any sub u put on it will sound great. U can't go wrong with that amp good choice!

It wont be super loud but will be very clear and crisp, will sound good in your truck and souldnt make the headlights do anything funky, and yeah orange1500hd they are 1.5 to 4 ohm and those pioneers are 4 ohm speakers max is 800 w but the nominal is 200. Should be a fine set up.

am I correct tho, that they'll receive 250 watts each? I guess they'll run around 200 watts continuous in this case? Thanks for replies, I've had the amp for several years, and it previously ran JL 10w6 AE's in a quad cab ram, but not near enough space. Now these flats will down fire too, so I know I'll see some good gains there.
