Default JL's not hitting the low lows :( input??

I have 2 10" JL w3v3s 4ohm powered by an alpine MRP M1000 watt apm

Alpine head unit

the truck is ext cab and I have a down firing box under the rear seat. Sealed box
.85cubic ft air per sub. I recently put a lil pillow cotton in the box helped made the subs sound much cleaner and slightly louder.

They still dont hit the low lows there is no sound or feel from them. they play the mid and high amazing

What do yall think the deal is?

not going to in an under seat box.

box design/math plays a huge role in how a speaker performs.

Check the crossover setting on the amp, and make sure both subs are wired so they are in phase.

If you have them bridged, unbridge them and wire them down to 1ohm if your amp can handle 1 ohm. Then you'll hit the mids and lows hard. And I suggest in investing into a capacitor, that will help your lows without drowning.

Also, get as much polyfill in that box as possible. Cram the **** out of it.

Haha it is pretty stuffed

I cant fill the back seat up with hot chicks if there is a huge ported box in their way

The amp dosen't have cross over I don't think
It only has one positive/negative section so I have the wires running from the amp to the first speaker then the second speaker is ran into the first speaker.

Sounded louder and better this way then when I ran each sub to the amp individually. What kind of ohms am I making this way?

Do yall have a link to wiring diagrams

Ok, so you have a mono amp. Only one set of speaker terminals? Are they dual voice coil or single voice coil subs? Single voice coil has one set of terminals out pod speaker so a - and +. Dual voice coil have 2 sets. 2 - and 2 +.

ONLY if your amp is rated at 1 ohm wire it like this.

If it is not rated for 1 ohm then wire it like this.

The way I'm guessing you have it wired, your at like 16 ohms, this is crappy. Wire it like I said, and those subs will be at there full potential.
