keep blowing Relays...............e-fans
#32
ok, here's whats been built so far......
The three black leads are as follows....
Far left - PCM C1 #42
Middle - PCM C2 #33
Far right - Ground for harness
Red are as follows....
Far left - Left fan + side
Huge Middle - Battery +
Right - Right fan + side
Far right - Left fan - side.
The right fan - side will obviously go to ground. This is exactly as GM wires the fans in the trucks...check it out....
It pays to work for GM................
The only thing I am changing is the fuse locations....instead of 3 seperate ones, I will have one 40 amp fast blow on the batt + side. Or I could go through and re-pin the connectors on the relays for more wire length if I am feeling bored.....but probably wont.

i had a similar problem about 2 weeks ago, except it wasn't my relay that blew, it was my inline fuse. just melted in it's place...changed it out and haven't had a prob...

the problem with the two pin setup is figuring in your fans to come on with the A/C. this could be figured in with a tap to the a/c turn on, blocking diode and another relay to switch polarity (a/c lead is positive)
