4. both pins are activating the fans right?
1.Both fans come on at a low speed until another higher turn on temp is hit, then the both kick high. basically, each fan gets 6v until a higher temp, then they both get 12v.

2. the relays I am using are not the ones used in the 05 trucks yet. I will have to run out to the truck and check again.....kinda forgot

3. That GM wiring diagram is exactly how they are wired up, except for the fuses on the + side. instead, I have one fast blow 30 amp fuse. for all of them. If I start running into problems, I will change that to help figure any elec. gremlins out. knock on wood there are none.

4. YES. Both pins are activating the fans, and I can even kick them on at will with EFILive's BIDI controls......will come in handy @ the races or towing.

Nope. Lt1 fans. I am thinking about replacing the motors though, just to keep them on the up and up. I dont know what year car they are off of, so I guess I just wanna be sure they are up to par and not putting an excessive drain on the system...

Ok, here's howits setup, to point out the wiring...

The blue is ground, and red is power.

This is pwr and grd running from inside the fuse box to the relays...

This is power and grd for the fans.....I flan on getting rid of that grd, only by the time I realized I needed to extend it...all out of black 10 guage!!

And here is what you would see if you just popped the hood....

Again, I will fab up a cover this weekend for the relays....and damn....forgot to get the pt# off them....will do tomorrow.

The GM harness uses two pins on the PCM and those pins are only available on 03+ PCMs and the Tune must be set to 2 fans not the normal Aux fan setting in the tune.

or

perhaps noone really new about it.

and the harness is only $75....

I knew about the GM harness, because I work for GM, so it is much cheaper for me as well....but these are relays and connectors I had laying around, so I have NOTHING invested in this, just time.

BTW moregrip - pt #'s for the relays - 25553347. They are relatively cheap. But its the connectors that make them expensive. Thats why you should go junkyard crawling, as GM used these on tons of late 80's-mid 90's cars and trucks. Get them, re pin them (cake) and voila!! Harness for little to nothing. Thats for those can can read and build a harness on their own though........easy for me to say I guess....
