Default most of my speakers are crackling...

sounds like they are busted, i replaced one and it still makes the sound.

i did replace the stereo with an alpine.

any ideas or thoughts?

They are probably blown. Get some new speakers, and some bass blockers. Let the bass come from a subwoofer. Too much bass will blow a regular speaker.

bass blocker? Is that a cross-over?

If everything was working until you swapped head units then i'd guess it was your wiring

i did replace a speaker with a brand new one and it still crackled.... so i doubt they are all blown...

i used the existing wiring.

Might be a grounding problem. My Girlfriend's dad does Audio/video for arena's, that's what he said it may be.

ground or bad RCA, plug?


bass blockers are small caps that can go inline to the speaker to take out the lower frequencies.

The positive and negative of the speaker wires are touching somewhere.

Definetly wires touching somewhere, check your wiring behind your head unit.
