Congrats Torque, anytime you need some audio advice feel free to PM me. I used to work out of my friends garage for hours fixing and installing all kinds of insane systems.

Yea defenatly a lot of good info on this thread. If I can give anybody really good advice, don't skimp on price when it comes to audio. This is one area that you really get what you pay for.

A capacitor doesn't solve this problem. A second batter and H.O. alternator are the real cures. A capacitor will be discharged to quick to be of any help. It will last about 1 beat and then you'll see your needle dip down. A capacitor may store charge, but it needs charge too.

I bought a 1F cap before I learned all about electricity and after going to college for electrical, I would say that a cap is the biggest waste of money on NON-COMPETITION systems. A 500F cap will help you hit that extra db with 10,000 watts, but a 1F cap on a DD setup is pointless.

Review: Get a minimum 140 amp alternator and you will never notice it dipping again because it will have the ability to produce the current you're drawing.
And get a big 3 upgrade, it will help out a lot.
