I have the same viper alarm just the older modle, installed the backup battery, tilt sensor, mini pizo sirens in the cab under the dash, extra battery powerd siren, Radar sensor, Audio sensor (glass break sensor), pin switch on the hood, tail gate, and gas door, dual blue leds on both A-pillers.

From my experience with my set up i ended up having the alarm shop remove the radar sensor due to way to many false alarms, they said if you have any tint on your windows it can cause it to go off, i also removed the glass break sensor due to false alarms. try what ever works for you. I am very happy with my alarm after removing those components. the mini pizo sirens inside the cab are pretty sweet they are ear pircing loud and make it hard for any thief to try and stay in the cab while the alarm is going off. have also seen people add an extra dual shock sensor to the under side on the bed of a truck to mack it more sensitive to a thief trying to stell stuff from the bed, but have no personal experience with that.

I had the Viper 5901 installed and Jimmy jammers put in my driver/pass doors after my truck was stolen. Well 4 months later it was hit again, And the Jimmy jammers didnt prevent them from getting in at all, It looked like they took a small hammer and screw driver to knock the lock cylinder in. But Whatever they did the jimmy jammers failed to keep them out. but the alarm did prevent them from starting it and stealing it this time around. After they got into the 2nd time, All I could think to do was not drive it but that wasnt an option so I had some pizo sirens installed under the dash like Silverado11 and all I know is I wouldnt want to be inside the cab trying to steal ****.

Like said above. you can do all you can to protect it and secure it, But if they want it they will get it. No matter what.

Good luck with your security.
