Need Stock Stereo Specs!!
Im about to start building my stereo in the tahoe and wanted to see if anyone had a wiring diagram on it. im sure there is some kind of amps hidden somewhere feeding all these speakers. i dont have the bose but i do have a factory sub (i guess its a 9 speaker set up??) anyway a wiring diagram would be great, also anyone know what size all these door speakers are? and how do you get the speaker covers off without bending them up? any help will be appreciated

I dont know if yours is any different than mine but unless youre going all out with the setup you dont need to do anything except plug in an adapter for the new head unit and splice a few wires. You do have to take the door panels off to get to the door speakers though. I wanna say they are 6.5" but Im not sure- you could make em fit though.

my silverado has 6.5 inch round speakers in the doors, i imagine you probably have the same, if you have dash speakers, i think they're 4 x 6's. as far as removing the grille off of the speakers, don't do that. you have to pull the door panels off to access them. can't help with the schematics or amps, i'd think the amps were either under the backseats or behind the panels in the back.

here ya go.....
Radio 12v orange + radio harness
Radio Ground black - radio harness
Radio Ignition dk. green + radio harness
Radio Illumination gray (dimmer) + radio harness
Factory Amp Turn-on N/A
Power Antenna N/A
LF Speaker +/- tan - gray +,- radio harness
RF Speaker +/- lt. green - dk. green +,- radio harness
LR Speaker +/- brown - yellow +,- radio harness
RR Speaker +/- dk. blue - lt. blue +,- radio harness
not shown in this diagram is the factory amp (probably behind the glove box or in the center console.....and the factory amp turn on is a pink wire in the smaller of the 2 plugs on the back of the factory radio....you must splice the amp turn on of the new deck into that pink wire or you will get no sound.....
