NNBS - where to connect amp remote wire

has factory radio..... read somewhere about an 8 pin connector by the foot brake called x14, and insert wire in pin7... and also a pink wire that goes to ignition.... anyone done it a different way ??? hooked it up to a fuse but the amp doesnt turn off.... drained the battery

That's where I've got mine at. Its under a plastic cover to the left of the brake pedal. There are the three pinout boxes on top of each other, the bottom one has no pins, in my truck anyway. Middle box, bottom left pin. Don't remember how I found it, but it works and has never drained a battery. It might be the pin thats called out, wherever you read it.
