when i had my 05 monte carlo ss i installed a kenwood 7" touchsceen... and i had to install one module to get onstar to work with it... then another module to get the steering wheel controls to work it... there are modules that will help your radio interface with the aftermarket systems.....
just a warning.... they can be a pipta to set up though
search onstar interface online

word, you need a wire harness, you cant just chop into wires and expect it to work.
Any stereo shop should have the harness or should be able to order them, this also includes circuit city or best buy. If the shop sells metra parts, these are the part #'s.
GMOS-LAN-01 thats if you don't have bose
GMOS-LAN-02 thats if you do have bose
