Default Pick me a Sub

Ok I just bought this box. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...m=220353741041 and I have an old Kenwood KAC-301T witch is rated for 300x1 watts RMS bridged. I'm not looking to shake the neighbors house or anything just a decent clean inexpensive sub to put in the box. Almost anything will be better than the old Pioneer truckrider boxes that I have back there now. What would you guys recommend?

the pioneer subs at wal-mart are really nice ryan. no reason to spend a lot of money if you just want a little rumble. i think they're around $100? i have a kicker comp vr in my truck with a 150wX2 kicker amp and it sounds damn good

I like the JL stuff but I'm wondering if the one you linked is a little small for the amp I have?

Looks like the pioneers at walmart are about $120+tax. I'll probably be cheap and spend a bit less than that. Hoping to find something decent for around $80 I think.

Thanks for the suggestions thus far it's helping me narrow down my choices.

All of these would be better than a Wal-Mart Pioneer sub IMO.

If you have a good amp you can make about any speaker sound good. I merely suggested the pioneer because of the name and I've heard a couple and they sounded real good and clear, and relatively cheap as well. Ryn I have a JL W O you can have if you wanna come get it

Well it looks like it's going to come down to what will fit in the box. It says the max mounting depth of the box is 5-3/4" and several of the suggested options look to be a bit too deep.

I'd try that JL W O out Danny if it wasn't so far away to get it from you. I don't have any free time to drive over there an get it. I'm spending most all of my free time trying to get my house ready to sell so we can move. We are getting ready for the arrival of a baby and this house needs to much dam work and isn't laid out very well for a baby. I did get to take a break today to make some beer!

Get a shallow mount kicker or fosgate or any kicker sub that will fit.
