alright guys here we go...first off last night i installed my whole system i've got a 2004 gmc sierra stock HU 50.1 (500watt) addictive audio amp 12" kicker l7...ran the high-low & everything is tapped correctly but the sub only works when 1 RCA plug is plugged in...(yes they're both plugged in behind the HU) and even more the amp blew BOTH 30 amp fuses on my way home from work tonight...ground is aced on the back of the cab anyone have any input? all is appreciated thanks!

RCA cable might be bad. On the side that you have to uplug so sub works check the ohm's inside and outer. Then compare it to the other one.

but i wanna know more of why the two 30 amp fuses are blowing

yeah just incase this comes out again...turns out i blew the sub...voice coils are fried haha lol aw well looks like i'm goin with an addictive audio sub...slammin' sierra baby

like i said check out addictive audio's website they have the sickest **** i've ever heard...i'm obviousley gettin rid of the l7 & i'm gonna go with their 12" version 2 sub and then when i win the competition i'll let you guys know what kind of db's i hit so you can all go out and copy me

easy... improper amp tuning due to lack of adequete power (not saying the OP did this but its very common.)

people arnt seeing the results they want since they arnt giving their speakers enough power, so rather than get a new amp, they jack gains up and clip the signal.
