Quick question: will Newer silverado stereo fit an 05 silverado??
Hey quick question.
I have an 05 silverado the rds button doesnt work anymore and will not take cd's.
Can I buy a 2010 silverado cd player to slide in there with the AUX port for my ipod??

Doubt it. You may be able to make it physically fit, but it will look like hell. The 07+ has a smooth flush mount radio. The older ones are kinda recessed behind a bezel. Take a look at some interior pics from new and old trucks to see what I mean. As for the wiring harness... no clue, but my guess is they wouldn't have made it that easy, just because they don't like to make things easy. You probably wouldn't have to spend much more for an aftermarket unit that looks and sounds better. You might even find a nice one in the classifieds on this site.
