raising back seat
i have a 99 gmc sierra that i want to raise the back seat to fit my mtx jackhammers underneath the seat. the subs require 2 cubic feet for a ported enclosure.
but i was just wondering how many people have raised their back seat and made a custom enclosure for underneath it. i have seen some before and wanted to know what was used to raise the seat.

I didn't raise my back seat but I've had it out and give you a preview of what you're up against. There's a bracket on either side bolting it to the floor; for these it would be simple to make a spacer. Attaching the back to the back wall are 2 hooks on the seat that hook into 2 loops on the back wall. If you only raise it an inch this may need no modification (not positive). If you go higher just weld on some extensions.
