I'm having an issue with the remote start on my truck, tried starting it the other day, started, ran for about 5 mins and died. Now it will not start off the remote, won't even crank it, it goes through all the motions, parking lights, doors lock, etc. it shows that it is running on the remote although it is not. It will start fine with the key, just not the remote, truck is a 99 new body style sierra


Starts fine with the key, it is an autopage rs-850lcd 2-way

 

make sure the brake lights work correctly all of them can cause cruise to not work correctly. may cause remote start not to work. good luck

 

If the remote start thinks its running but it's not, you need to make sure the tach is programmed properly. Thats the only thing I can think of.
