Default remote turn on wire

where do you get the power for your amp turn on wire on a NNBS silverado? i am using the stock deck with a converter box for the RCA's

u can splice in the power wire for the radio itself. there are plenty to pick from turn the key to acc. and check it with a multi-meter.

Check the fuse box inside the truck look for the ignition one and find a way to put it there thats how I did my 02 and it should be the same concept

Dont forget if you get an aftermarket cd player/radio you have to buy the black box..I think its 03 and up GMC/Chevys..Well if you have a programmer/efi live you must take the fuse out for the radio in the fuse box, to program your truck if you have that box installed..

I personaly always put my amps on my own switch. Not all the time do you want your subs playing so it is much easier to turn off the switch then it is to use the radio to do the work for you.

If you put it on a switch then any keyed power sorce is fine.

Does anyone know what color Tue wire was they spliced into?

pull the radio out unplug it and look at the wire harness (if i had to guess it will be red and it might even say 12v power on it) get the multimeter out and check with ones get power.

this would work, but i am not looking for the constant 12v power, i need the remote type wire that is ignition sourced. so when the power to the radio goes off my amp doesnt keep running

hook ur remot wire to ur radio fuse in the fuse panel..thats how my runned....
