I don't know exactly what the problem ever was, but it doesn't seem to be draining any more. I fully charged it with a new charger and it dropped about 15% in 24hrs and then it has held steady ever since.

Wonder if some of the wiring got jarred durring the roll pan install and after pulling it and re-connecting it, everything cleared up... awesome. good luck.
