I don't think anything to do with audio is ever straight-forward. Glad you got it figured out.

Yah I started looking through the extra wires for the navi and all, seen this little 3 pin plug with a black red and yellow wire.. Plug that in, then just twisted all the hots together, grounds together on the bench and wired it to a batt, it fired rite up.. But come to find out, I really do not even car for the unit, so back in the old pioneer goes until I can find another double din I like that it some what user friendly.. This thing is by far to in depth for my tastes..

Have you looked at the newer Pioneer AVH's? They're pretty user-friendly, IMO. I'm not really a Kenwood fan, but the new DNX9980 is a boss. In-depth doesn't even begin to describe it, but I like them. Just not willing to dish out nearly two grand for one. I'll stick with my Alpine 9886.

Yes in fact I really like the the 4300 with the 7'' screen, actually the 3300bt with the slightly smaller screen.. I have always went back and forth between the pioneer and kenwood units.. Had one alpine back in the day and it was a nice piece to, but that was days before this dvd stuff hahaha..

You should look into those two Pioneer units. I know a good bit of people that have the 3X00 units and love them. I've had a million hu's but the 9886 with Imprint and its adjustability is what sold me. I'm a fan, and probably won't switch for a while. Been eyeing a Nakamichi hu, but I'm fairly content with what I've got.
