I know no question is a stupid one, but this one tops it. What the hell are these shark fin type antennas on some silvys and tahoes I see? Is it XM only, Onstar only? Curious on what it is, what the part # is, Looks sweet
Like on the roof of this one...its my favorite truck too haha

I thought it was mainly for onstar but can be used to satelite radio aswell.

That one is for onstar. The xm antenna is on the otherside(if applicable).

Trucks that have both XM and Onstar have two different antennas. The shark is the same as the bubble on the older models. The onstar is usually on the passenger side of the roof.
