new head unit did help. actually had freq control. also got a 2400 watt orion amp

going to try a pro box after i get thru holidays and bs

I have a JL W3v2 in here now, but i've had a JLW7, in this box as well at one time...both sound great! i've never heard anything sound just excellent mounted inverted

Yea, sub depth is your biggest enemy in a reg cab, my dd 3510d motor/frame is only about 6.5" deep or so, I was able to build my USACI setup completely behind the seat, but of course that is required. I see a lot of people going into the center console but when I experimented with venturing into the center console region, I found that my vehicle resonating freq dropped about 4hz and I lost a db.
