Default Subwoofer/Amp questions

hey guys, so i have a question about the system im running in my truck now, i purchased two kicker 10" comp's Comp | KICKER and i took it to the installer and they put in a power acoustik 1250 watt 2 channel amp. http://www.poweracoustik.com/pa2012/amps-OVN2-1250.html
here. i feel like the setup isn't hitting as hard as i thought it would. and was wondering if maybe i got the wrong amp for the subs? or maybe the subs arent powerful enough? any info would help.

Power acoustic amps in my opinion aren't very good . MOst of the real good amps u will pay almost a dollar a watt and even thou that's a 1250 watt amp it's not going to put out clean wattage . For example I have a JL audio 500 watt amp against one of the 10" comp crv and the amp is about 3/4 peak power and it's crystal clear and hits hard. I think just about anything from kicker is good even at there low level comp subs . Keep ur eyes on this site I see a lot of amps on here a great prices . I even got a brand new kicker comp 10" sub and a 300 watt kicker amp for $60 . Just keep ur eyes open u will find something

+1 get what you pay for. It may say 1250 but RMS is what you really are concerned about. See if you can sell and save up for something better

Here is what I would get and how I would wire it. Won't break the bank and will do TONS better than the amp you have now

This amp
JL Audio JX500/1D Mono subwoofer amplifier — 500 watts RMS x 1 at 2 ohms at Crutchfield.com

Wired like this.
