I ran the kicker KS in my old truck. Sounded awesome. My current truck has Polk components and they sound decent for no amp.

i work at a car audio shop here in topeka ks. we carry jl audio, kicker, memphis, and alpine. with that being said i'm bias to these companies. the new alpine type R's are amazing! esp if you put an amp on them. what's your budget? this would give me an idea on which way to steer you.

now if you'd like to know what's in my personal truck. i just installed the brand new jvc double din, im waiting on hushmatt, box, and subs to arrive but i have two sets of kicker RS components, 1 kicker IX500.4, and 2 kicker IX1000.1's. if you have any questions let me know and good luck

alpine 6.5 type G in the front and Alpine type S 4x6 in the rear $150, sound good with aftermarket Alpine HU maybe a lil better on an amp.... anything is better than stock, just dont get the Sony explodes
