Default Will 2 12's fit in an ex cab?

Hey everyone, I currently have one Kicker square Solobaric 12L7 sub in my truck. Its in a box I made, located behind the drivers seat. This makes that side of the cab useless for passengers (no leg room). I am wanting more bass, and I want to get another Solobaric. Do you all think there is any way to build a box to house the two subs with ample air space, and still an area on the box for amp location or am I asking to much? I have also considered 3 10s.....thoughts?

Why is there no leg room back there? You should be able to fit 2 of them if you build the box correctly, you may have to raise the rear seat a little but thats very easy to do. You should be able to get enough air space if you need it. I would build another box and possibly use some fiberglass to do it so you can get all the space you need. Do you have a pic of your current box so I can see what your working with?

I got a dual 12 box from www.subthump.com for around 200 shipped, they can also cut the holes for the square subs. the box fits perfectly under the seat and it very good quality. I can get pics if you like.

My buddy got 2 hx2 10's with a amp under his seat...

There is a "Seat lift" kit they sell on ebay that is made to lift your back seat up like 2-3 inches... that might be something to look into

I'm guessing your box is sitting between the driver seat and the back seat and not under the back seat. Those 12's are gonna need at least 1.25 cu. ft. a piece. I don't have an extended cab so I don't know for sure, but you will probably need the spacer kit to get the right size boxes in there; even then it'll be close.

I have one fosgate power dvc 12 under my passenger back seat and there is plenty of room to put another one under the driver side. lifting up the back seat would free up some air space for sure.

Thanks for the replies. I think I am going to try and tackle another solobaric install. I'll keep you all posted.

Mount the amps on the back wall behind the seat like I did set everything on the amp the put the back seat in works great and they have plenty of room to breath.
