if you want to be able to turn the fans on with key of you should be able to hook the power in wire for the switch to the battery with a fuse in between and hook the power out from the switch where the harness plugs in the fans with a diode to make sure the power goes to fans and not back to the relays then ground the switch just make sure to splice into the hot wire on the fans

well, i don't have to splice any wires going to the harness or to the fans. the nelson harness has a wire dedicated just for this switch i'm installing. i just didn't know how to wire the switch because it has 3 prongs on it. so what i'll do is connect a 12v switched to 1 prong, the lead wire from the nelson hard to the 2nd prong, then a ground on the 3rd prong.
