i actually did end up getting the n3 and installed it yesterday. did the bypass and it works great, we only had a chance to drive around the block a few times to test it though. i don't think there should be any problem with it.

i bought it for a customer and friend of mine, he is real happy with it so far. but i only spoke to him like 2 days after i put it in....i haven't seen him since....i will be seeing him this week i will find out how he likes it so far.

Hook up toggle switch to ground and there you go.

i installed it last week, fliped the switch and ground the parking without a toggle switch and it works great. ( is a toggle switch neccessary 2lugnuts ? )
like 2lugnuts said pioneer defiantly wised up and put in a switch,
i think that people were frying the borads with the solder, and then being sent back to pioneer to be repaired......after they are fixed there are alot of refurbs out there which makes pioneer look bad, and people who don't know why they are refurbs probably think it is a bad unit ( at least thats why i think there is a switch now )
