Default XM receiver for 05' rcsb Silverado

I want to replace my factory stereo/cd unit with something that can receive XM signals too, the truck didn't come with the XM option. Anyone got any suggestions? Thanks....

I would look into Sirius also I have xm and listen to moder rock and find their choices less to my taste but serius has some good rock stations so listen to both I think you can get free trial versions on your computer.

Anything that's XM ready would be good, I have Alpine and have been real happy with it, but there are others too. Terk is making the tuners for Alpine, Sony, Kenwood, and Pioneer now. I think that most of the new Alpine stuff is compatible with Sirius too, its all marked SAT ready instead of being brand specific, which is pretty cool. Dunno about the other brands being like that too.

Thanks guys, I kinda gotta stick with XM because the better-half has it in her Monte and I'm in on her subscription as a 2nd device @ 6.99 / mo. with a ROADY that I currently use. I appreciate ya'll taking the time to respond! I may try and find one at a local GM dealership that someone had swapped out.
Thanks again!
