i think if you tie into the green w/white stripe wire off of the a/c clutch control relay then you could eliminate the extra relay. It shows the pcm giving a ground signal when turned on.

You think? No offense but unless you know for sure don't give electrical advice.

My fans have been wired like this for well over a year now and I've had absolutely zero issues.

great wright up but it seems no matter how hard i look everyone is very bland on the tune info. you say all they need to do is activate the pin but i allready have a superchips tuner so is this something i could just email superchips and get them to send me an update or would i need to take it to a tune shop?

Sorry, I am not familiar with the Super Chips unit, if it isn't readily available as an option to select via the menu it's probably not a functionality that is supported.

I have EFILive and while it has been a while, I do remember reviewing this before, there was a whole menu of options that could be enabled or altered regarding the fans. You were able to adjust the Turn on temps, turn off temps, and what fan speeds the unit ran at when it was enabled. The whole thing is pretty elaborate, it can be more than going in and checking one drop down menu..

My guess is, if its not a full function programmer like EFILive it is probably not going to be supported.

Where does the ground wire go on the factory harness? And the positive go?

Ummmm... I would ground the ground wire. I bolted mine to the frame. And I connected the positive to the main power feed bolt at the underhood fuse panel.

Default Factory E-Fan Harness for Silverado (15912597)

Been doing research and calling every salvage yard to find a factory harness (GM Part# 15912597).... hard to find.... at least here in Oklahoma. I have a list here of search results on car-part.com ... Search term to use: Headlamp Wiring Harness with year range 2005 to 2007. Give these a try but make sure you ask if the harness has the efan portion of the harness incorporated.

Had my tune done for e-fans at D&G Dyno Tune in Hennessey, OK. Great customer service, very affordable, and knows the questions to ask to get your tune done right. Simply cannot go wrong with Dwayne.

Or for the harness you can go to any of your online discount GM parts outfit and order the complete front harness with the e fan fuse box and cover for about $170..... Especially if you are even remotely considering paying the prices listed above so for some used POS a yard monkey stripped out of a wreck with side cutters......

You will be missing the connector that attaches the trigger wires to the PCM ( if you are 03 and up doing this swap). I scavenged mine from an old harness I had kicking around but you can buy the connectors and associated assembly parts, PCM pins and of course wire and make your own. The connector is a GT 150.
