I try and go to some lake in Texas every weekend in the summer. Mainly Texoma and PK and Lewisville being my home lake. Use to go to Travis alot. Travis is the by far the nicest around, but it is around 50' low right now. PK is my second choice, beautiful, but everythign has burned down betweent he 2 fires this summer. Texoma is another big nice fun lake, but it has some kind of fungus in the water. Thats all I know as far Texas lakes. There are more nice ones like Murray as you stated, but I have imput for you on those. Sorry
I have a 2008 Supra 24'

I stayed at the lodge there. They have cabins also if I remember correctly. The lodge where I stayed was a little sketchy, but we had fun none the less. It was great for a little kid. They had one of those blob things like they had in the fat camp movie.(sit on this big air matt in the middle of the water then someone jumps on it and flings you off), paddle boats, place for kids to feed fish, frisbee golf. It's been a couple years since I've been there, but thats what I can remember.

I want to go to Murray for a weekend. It's about 3 hours from me. Then Texoma is just up the road from there. The do have some sort of Mussels in Texoma that you can spread to other lakes if you don't clean your boat. I haven't heard about Murray having that problem. I didnt know Murray had a lodge with that kind of stuff. You remember where exactly on the lake or the name of the lodge?

It's just simply Lake Murray Lodge. I do remember they have cabins that line the road on the way to the lodge. I definitely want to go back maybe this next summer

I'd like to find a cabin on the lake so I could beach the oat or park it in a slip so I dont have to load/unload all weekend.

If you ever get up into Arkansas, Beaver Lake is pretty awesome. It's so clear you look over the back of the boat and you can see the prop and the water vortex coming off if it. It's a spring fed Army Corps of Engineers lake. I hear Murray is pretty clear too but I've only driven by it once. Never been in it.
