Honestly I would have not let it bother me one way or the other. But when I bring my own parts in and just want to have something welded in place, I don't feel the need for a lecture on whats better. If you don't want to do the work and only want to sell me your muffler then thats fine, I'll go somewhere else, which I did, and don't plan on venturing back to Brads in Alvin anytime in the foreseeable future.

Well.....I'm wanting Borla XR1's with all stainless mandrel bent piping and an x-pipe, so I'm thinking Ripley's is where I'll be heading. Other shops can order mandrel pieces and weld it together, but I think I'd rather it be two long continuous piece of pipe. I'll be curious to see how the truck does with a tune, the 18's, and the new exhaust.

I've heard great things about Ripleys. AND they are the only place local that I know of with a mandrel bender, so thats a bonus. Hope it all works out the best for ya, and let us know how they are.

Thanks for this tip. Been wanting to do some cutouts and turn downs coming straight out of the muffler. Affordable hooked me up. Got right in, done in a hour, nice work and very reasonably priced.
