Ya, we are still ironing out the details of the house, but so far the 1200sqft of garage space is still part of the plan!!! As far as uses of it, a lift would be nice but probably won't happen. I would rather buy a mandrel bender (which an air assisted one would run about 1-2k), that way I could bend roll cages (future project) and exhaust...

We are still going over the estimate and we should be submitting an offer in a few days!!!

Just here to help since your in the perfect stage to do what will be best for the long run. I would Definently put a lift in the plans or at least make it a future plan with a space for it, you will b kicking yourself later if you do alot of work on your vehicles, if not then i understand. I couldn't live without one. Also with your plans for the bender most won't do rollcages and also exhaust due to one being tubing and one being pipe. Also most tubing benders won't do 3"+ size pipe and if so usually not a clean job. I'd be interested in looking what unit you have looked into just so you don't make a pricey mistake in your plan.

ya, i just read that it can't do the thinner wall stuff, oh well...

About the lift, for my future projects a lift wont be need for several years... So i am not really planning on adding one... The expense versuses the amount of times i would use it are not worth it... Besides, the garage will mainly house a frame bench for the first few years, then eventually remove the frame bench, then at some time a homemade paint booth will be added, then after all that just basic storage...

Ya, i have priced them out, it is not that at all... I am limited to 20x30ish garage space, so i don't want to basically take up alot of it with a lift, that i will use 5-10% of the time max... removing the lift would be a pain.. Maybe ounce my future project(s) are done i might buy one, but until then it is not needed...
