Default Registration Ticket ?

Hey guys my fiance got pulled over today in my truck and the registration was out in it. well she got a ticket and she asked him if there was a grace period and he said its five days and its the 8th and there is nothing that can be done about it..

The rumer i always have heard is that its a 10 day grace period. i was wondering if anyone else has had this problem before and how to go about taking care of it.. Is that 10 days after the first or when the ticket was issued?

I have the papers to get tags just forgot all about it..

Any suggestions!

Most places will waive the fine if you get it inspected and bring documentation to the courthouse. I've also seen them knock the fine down to $15, but I would get it taken care of asap regardless.

Well we are getting the tags today and hopefully have time to go to the courthouse. but it was in keene tx there are ****** *** holes so im worried that they will start some kind of **** like usual. anywhere else most ppl are cool but keene is horrible with that stuff. I was wanting to get some other ppls opinion so i can see if i have an arguement or not..

Most places will dismiss it and charge you court costs if you get it taken care of and go to the court within 11 days. Thats how it is here.

I got a ticket three weeks ago in San ANtonio for my truck not being registered in Texas. I told the trooper I was from la and only going to school for a year. He still gave it to me.
