I'm lookin for a good trans shop to build my 700r4. I already got my circle d converter last wk. An I should be gettin my trans parts in some time this wk. I called around to sum shops for price to build(labor) wit my parts n prices are $350-500. Any yall recommend any specific shop in the dfw area, thanks for any info

I do all my own stuff.... Transmission shops are worse than used car salesman best of luck finding someone that will take care of you...

I asked my father about this as he runs a huge reman facility that supplys to GM and FORD.. In fact he has built a good number of 60/65s for some of the guys on the silverado ss forum, but he said he just doesn't have the time. I will ask him who he would trust to do the job right.

I have cut open there joke of a converter and they are factory cases just tweeked.

They also like to sell people on all the high performance parts and just forget to actually use them in there builds...They can argue all they want, but when an invoice says beast sunshell and its a factory sunshell that just straight up pisses me off!!! That isn't the only case where that has happened either.

WARNING DONT BUY FROM PHOENIX.

See that's what I'm afraid of. I've read on some forums where some shops didn't put everything on. I bought a street/strip rebuilt kit from probuilt, trans-kit servo beast shell etc. I just want a reputable shop to put it together n not leave anything out. I was think of printing out the kit list n having the shop sign it sayin everything was installed. N if it ever broke take to another shop n just makin nothing was left out. Just read a lot of shady stories of trans shops keeping good parts n using oem
