im very capable of doing the install myself but i work a 11 days on 3 day off schedule so my time off is important to me. so let me know what your guys name is and i will bring my truck to him monday(i go to work tuesday) and i will just have the transmission sent straight to him. im getting the LVL 3 trans and billet converter at one time. Also gonna have a SFI flexplate put in and Royal Purple transmission fluid.

cam install cant be that hard. get the right tools and any job is easier, but if somebody already has the tools and can do the install and do it right im fine with paying somebody cash to install it.

who around longview does dyno tuning? east texas muscle does dont they? ill need it tuned for the cam swap and make sure my shift points are right for the new trans.

DO NOT go to east texas muscle cars...they are well known for blowing peoples **** up, and theyre idiots IMO. You can get a better tune for cheaper through the mail from Wheatley or Zippy. I bought credits on HPT for my truck and send logs back and forth to Zippy but even before I did that he had my truck running great on just a mail order. How much is the royal purple atf? With a built tranny your scheduled maintenance time is cut in half so youll still need to service it (filter and fluid) every 30-40k miles anyway. Regular old GM Dex whatever it is with friction additive is plenty good enough and about half the price youll spend on the RP stuff and still net you the same usage. The guy that put my tranny in is named Ronny and owns All Star Transmission in White Oak.

IIRC. Do NOT use RP transmission fluid in your transmission.

yeah....seems to me like i heard somewhere also that it wasnt good to go with. When i put my trans in i went with Dex VI, good stuff but pricey. The cheaper Dex ATF is fine
