where to get 160 thermo in dfw?

do you want a hypertech 160 thermostat? harrys hot rod would stock those for a truck or fbodys. usually kinda high priced though.

I have a Hypertech 160 in my truck for 4 yrs and no problems.

from what a my tuner has told me is to run a 180 stat. because the 160 stat slows the motor from reaching proper operating temperature. altho i was under the understanding that a cooler motor, the more timing you can run.

From my understanding and different discussions with people this last statement is true you can run more timing with a cooler motor which = more hp.

Some tuners will say different things depending on the vehicle and customer.
My opinion is if its a daily driver then dont go below 180. Street/strip weekender go ahead with 160

Where the combustion of the engine is affected by the block temperature, by running a 160 deg there will be a little tuning needed for precise combustion equalling max hp..

Which i have heard of 10-15 hp more just by changing the thermostat and tweaking the tune..

Correct me if im wrong but like i said this is something some of us have discussed before..
