I use the 80 grit on cast iron.
Scotch-Brite
and the 120 grit on aluminum and cast iron.
Scotch-Brite
I use a 2" holder like this one.
3M Roloc Disc Pad Assembly 05539, 2 inch
This has always worked for me. The 50 grit bristle removes lots of material! I used one to sharpen my lawn mower blade!

Sorry, shouldve been more clear, Im looking for the bristle type. I used to have one a long time ago but it wore out long ago. Mine was 2" too but didnt know if a 1" or 3" is better. It will be used for cleaning the block and heads, on head swap/motor builds. Ive been using a razor blade very carefully, terry cloth and brake cleaner. The roloc pads are much easier so Id like to get them again for the next two motors Im building.

I posted the bristle type. Green = 50 grit, Yellow = 80 grit and White = 120 grit. Are you looking for a place to purchase these?
I use them in the 2" size also, but really like use the 3" disc with a 2" holder. I feel like I have more control and can apply more/less pressure on the outside 1/2" that's not supported.
The 1" disc almost seem useless and I have found little use for them yet.

Best Ive found is on ebay 35 for 5 of the yellow and 50 for 5 of the white in 3". That just seems really steep to me. Are they just that expensive or is there a cheaper place to get them?
