That seems like a good price. I pay $12-$13 for them at the local parts store. They seem to last a long time.

I prefer surface prep over sanding disks because surface preps wont take away too much metal unless you are trying.
I like the brown disc. They can remove old fiber head gaskets with ease! I also use them to prep rough aluminum before sanding and polishing.

Best Ive found is on ebay 35 for 5 of the yellow and 50 for 5 of the white in 3". That just seems really steep to me. Are they just that expensive or is there a cheaper place to get them?
I will buy 2 of the yellows, if you go that route.

I don't recommend using the yellows on aluminum. Get the white ones if you plan on using them for cleaning up heads or other aluminum parts. Even then, you've got to be careful.

Alright, so if I buy a 5 pack of each does anyone want to buy the extras? I will keep two of each so there will be three of each leftover. I won't mark it up just charge what I paid per unit plus shipping to your door.

So Corey you want 2 yellow? No white?

i use green and it makes the job EASY. so much better than a razor blade...here is how a green did on my covers over the weekend. wish i had a before pic. they were stained up. especially the valley cover.
i really dont see a reason to go any stronger. green will knock off anything that we need to no problem.

I like to use a gearless right angle die grinder like this one.
Amazon.com: MSI-PRO 10029 1/4-Inch Gearless Angle Die Grinder: Home Improvement
I hope the link is ok. I'm not trying to sell it!

Green is the most aggressive grit! That’s why it will knock anything off!

Links are fine now, there should be an annoucement here soon about some new policies for the site. Ought to make it much nicer

Ive got one of those already and it works great for using the body wheel eraser, just have to make sure you dont let it get spinning too fast, the rubber eraser material doesnt like getting slung full speed

I think Im going to order 5 of each and see if I cant sell a couple of each to help offset the cost as Id really only like 2 of each. Anybody want a couple besides Corey? Probably going to order them tonight.
