I check the calibration of my torque wrench's each year; I have a 50 lb weight and put my torque wrench in a vice at 90 deg. and place the weight 12 inches from the head. With three wrench's one is 46.3 lb (craftman), on is 48.8 (HF) and one is 50.1 (CDI). Guess which one I use the most.

I got the new Brownline TQ wrench last night. Man it is pretty sweet!!! It has a couple of indicators on it if your turning the wrench to fast, and it shows the actual value while your pulling so you can see if your getting close. Only problem is that it is LONG, with it in the case it will not fit in my tool box...

I have a pair of Matco torque wrenches, just had them checked out and they are dead on accurate.

it is basically a standard size 1/2 TQ wrench, maybe a little longer, but the case won't fit in my tool box, it is about 2 inches tooo long.

My CDI is too big to fit in my toolbox as well so i just keep it in the case under my bed lol.. That way its also not sitting in the building during hot summers and cold winters.

I have used it twice. I like it so far but it is rather long. It was accurate doing 18ftlbs to 120 ftlbs. I in both cases i double checked the tq with my 3/8 shorty and my 1/2 long harbor freight specials. HF had a sale going on so i bought 2 more tq wrenches. Sooo now i have 3

The thing i really like is it displays the tq setting as you turn so you can see how close your getting. Also it has 3 lights. The lights show or instruct you on how fast to turn the wrench to make sure your not going to fast.

I am sure it is not as nice as the high end wrenchs but it is american made and you can send to the manf to recalibrated.
