I know for a fact that 285/70/17 will fit with no issues but I can't say on the 295's. Here is a pic of BFG All Terrain TA's on a non-lifted Tahoe. I did crank the torsion bars a little but I think it would have worked without the cranking.
*edit*
You have a VERY SWEET TA there. If I had a TA and money I would have a car like yours.

The tires on after market wheels will catch the trim when you turn sharp. I have seen 285's do this too. If you wont be off-roading you can get away without having to trim IMO.

I'm off road on a daily basis and I've never ever rubbed. It actually looks closer in the back then the front.

What style rims are those, they look pretty sweet I might have to get some next, are they teflon coated too???
One more thing how does the 295/70r17 compare to a 295/75r16 in size I had the 16s on the stock rims and they worked fine with cranked tb but on after market they rubbed, so I got some 285/75r16 and now I have no issues
