Default 305/55/20 Nitto Terra Grapplers on 8" wide wheel?

Does anyone have a set of 305/55/20 tires mounted on an 8" wide rim?...and if so what's your opinion on the setup?

I've got a set of 20x8 wheels that I'd like to run that that size tire, but the suggested rim width is 9.0-(9.5)-10.0 according to Nitto. Just wondering if I could get away with running them on my 20x8s.

you could but eventually the outside of the tire near the sidewall will wear out faster than the center of the tread hope it helps

I've seen them on an 8.5" GM wheel before w/ no probs...probably just have to keep an eye on the pressure.

I ran 305/70/16 on 16x8 rims and never had a problem FWIW. Plenty have run that setup other than just me.

well i use to work at discount tire so thats what i saw alot of but it only happened to tires with 50,000 plus miles and you'll prolly wear out those tires before that

they will work, the side wall will balloon a little more. you will probably have to play with the air pressure some so you can figure out where the tread will be flat when rolling.

if this was a performance street tire i wouldn't recomend it.
