you need to take everything out, use a 2wd trans and driveshaft, 2wd hubs, and that will make it 2wd, however the frames are actually different so it wont be the same as a 2wd truck. details on the truck? where you located, I have a 99 2wd rcsb 4.8 I could do a trade.

ok so yall prob think its stupid but i got a 99 Blazer 4x4 that the front diff blew up on so i took out all the front guts still have the transfer case in but wanna get rid of it and turn it into a 4x2! my reason for that is ive already lowered it 4" in the rear and 3.5" front so my question is, do i need to get new spindels for the front or will 2wd hubs bolt up? im geting the 2wd tranny in within the next few weeks i know that the 2wd and the 4wd blazers both use the gm330 frame but im not sure if controle arms spindels and or hubs are interchangable if anyone has any knowladge of how i can go about canverting the front end from 4x4 to 4x2 please let me know. im trying to make this a slammed 4 door 4x2 Blazer

check it out. this is my thread doing the 4wd to 2wd swap. on the second page it gets into how to not have to buy 2wd hubs. everyone knows you can't just take the front axles out, but what they don't mention is that you can tear the cv apart and re bolt it back in without the axle. http://www.performancetrucks.net/for...d-pics-480970/

Look at a 2wd Silverado SS. Same chassis as a 4wd. Swap trans and d-shafts and your in. Pull all the front axle junk out. I dont think the hubs are an issue.

I actually don't know if their more narrow. And I don't know much about the wheel offset either. I ordered my rims specifically for a tahoe so I just assumed they would be correct. Sorry
