Default Anyone ever relocate upper control arms on a lift???

So I took my truck in to get an alignment and he recommended I buy blocks that will lower my upper control arm some and eliminate the drastic angle my 8" lift is putting on my suspension. I talked to Fabtech and they dont sell such a part? Wondering if something like that would have to be custom? Here is a random picture I found of a the control arm I am referring to.

Post up a pic of your ball joint angles with the truck sitting on the ground at normal ride height.

If he's having a problem getting camber & caster into specs, there are offset control arm bushings available, or high-offset eccentrics to replace your stock ones.

is this a 6" lift with keys cranked 2"? if so, put your keys back to stock and get a 2" bodylift... if it is a true 8" lift then your angles should not be bad. if it did not come with upper brackets that means you have a knuckle lift and the knuckles should have made up for the difference that brakets would have made... if it is a knuckle lift, maybe someone bought it used without the knuckles and used the stock knuckles? in which case other companies do make full braket lifts that use upper brackets... call different companies.

My 8" Fabtech has been perfect for over 40K miles. The ball joint angles are basically stock. I am running Toyo M/Ts 37/13.5/20s with no clearance issues.

Thanks everyone for the feedback. Well after a few weeks of driving this truck with its new alignment I am more then pleased with it the way it is. For the last 2 years I have delt with a crooked steering wheel, HORRIBLE alignment, etc... This was all due to worn suspension. Because I rarely drive the thing I didnt mind it much but were starting to camp more so I figured it was a good time to actually pay it some mind. I replaced the upper/lower ball joints (I love that the kit actually uses the same upper ball joint from a mid 1980's half ton Chevy which saves you about $150) I bought Moog BJ's and they were arounf $30 each where the ones from Fabtech were $100+ each. I also replaced the tierod ends, idler arm, and lastly the pitman arm. After spending about $400 in parts and the alignment I wish I would have done it last year. What a differance.

Good deal you got it all figured out

Next time you replace some parts look at the Cognito Suspension..They have some good upgrade to the stock steering when you have larger tires
