Default Body lift question

Some background before the question: I'm doing a LLY Duramax swap into a 99 RCSB 1500. The LLY radiator support and cooling stack is 2" taller than the gas one, so to get everything to line up properly I'm going to have to do a 2" body lift. I don't want to buy a full body lift kit, as I won't need all of it. Here's my questions:

1. Front bumper - if I run the half ton front bumper with a 2500HD bumper cap and grille, I won't need front bumper lift brackets, correct?

2. Rear bumper - if I run the rear bumper with brackets from the 2500HD donor truck, I won't need rear bumper lift brackets, correct? (looking at the two bumpers side by side it looks like the 2500HD brackets lift the rear bumper)

3. Bed - are the bed spacers the same as the body lift bushings? Or are they solid? I've found that I can buy individual body lift bushings for a couple bucks each from places like Summit or JC Whitney, but I haven't seen anything about bed spacers.

If my thinking is correct, all I will need are 4 body lift bushings, 8 bed lift spacers, and longer bolts. Does this sound right or am I missing something?

Correct on all accounts. Why not do a tappered body lift so you wont have to lift the rear bumper or have to go with gap guards in teh rear.

First thing i thought of too!

The tubing would be fine for the bed

How do you do a tapered lift and still keep everything lined up? Wouldn't there be a gap at the front of the bed and none at the rear?

You cut the pucks at an angle so the front are 2" and as you go towards teh back they progressively get smaller. Thats what duraburb does on some of his builds.

And as an added bonus, you get the Cali-lean for no additional expense!

All the pictures I've seen it just makes them look perfectly level since the nose is low from yhe factory anyway.

Yeah, I know they end up looking normal after a T-bar adjust. I was just joking around.

I think since I already have the rear bumper I'm just going to do a regular body lift rather than worry about the sizes to do a tapered one.

Dumb question...do body lift spacers stack on top of the factory body bushings, or replace them completely?
