Default Cranked torsion bar question

how much room should I have between the uca and the bump stops? I got my stock keys cranked and i can fit my index finger in loosely, I do have fat fingers, is there any point in getting ford keys and cranking higher?

That does not sound right. If you only have that little room between the UCA and bump stop, as soon as you hit a bump or pot hole your suspension is going to max out and cause a harsh ride.

Here is what the 2500's typically look like, I can't remember if my old 1/2 tons were like this or not.
