I like how that tucks up really close to the bumper Cody. Looks really good. I'd like it even better if they'd add a bracket in the center to bolt it to the center of the bumper like the factory hitch.

Just seen this, nice looking hitch.

Glad to see you are happy with the two inches you gained.

No trouble with the occasional trailer of oversized lumber or manure though.

What you be towing with yours?

Never know what Ill latch on to. Towed 12K worth of gravel/trailer a couple weeks ago. Ill be moving my brother in law here soon and Im sure thatll be around 10K. Just wanted to make sure I dont have any hitch troubles.

Look at the shipping weight of it. The Curt class III looks about the same but the class V is a LOT thicker.

Im pretty sure the factory hitch only bolts to the bumper for some extra strength. Doesnt really bother me that it doesnt connect to the bumper since its rated for so much and Ill probably never load it down that much.

I use to run a cheap russel hitch from walmart.. put alot of weight on that lil thing and it bends the frame.....

got one of the factory hitchs and its a ton better than the other one

maybe one day ill get around to getting a good hitch.
I like that flip hitch you got.

That's another reason I wanted this hitch because the forward mounting point(closest one to the axle) on this hitch is moved forward about 6". So the weight of the trailer is distributed over a larger area of the from. Your stories about your frame bending was a big reason I decided to get a better hitch now.

The B&W tow and stow is awesome, saves my shin from being annihilated and it looks cool with the Browning logo

10,000. There's not any options for adjustable height with a higher rating that I've seen. I'm sure the 10k is rated for it being at the lowest setting where the trailer would have more leverage on the ball mount. When towing heavy its always at the top so it puts less stress on the mount and hitch. Some guys on dieselplace have towed 20k with it before. I'd never do that just stating its a pretty damn stout chunk of steel.

10-4. As long as you're comfortable with it I'll look into it, as you seem to be the better-safe-than-sorry type

Seems like good insurance for around $200 but I know so many guys who have put fairly heavy trailers on there stock hitch every day and never had an issue. It certainly won't hurt anything but I don't see it solving anything either.

Being class IV it has the larger receivers also doesn't it? Those cost significantly more and you can't always find them if you are in a pinch. It looks like your's has the standard class III receiver but I can't tell.
