I never had much power to them when I owned my Avalanche but they did amazing on dirt, snow, ice and seemed to hook pretty good on the street but again I was not putting much power to them.

Michelin LTX A/T 2, and best of all they are extremely quite AT tire. Trust me you won't be disappointed!

I still run the regular old firestones that my truck had on it when I got it. Have yet to spin in 4wd and hooks surprisingly hard in 2wd as well.

Seems your mind is already made up, I have had a few sets of Nitto's (Not truck tires) They just don't seem to outlast mileage wise against the Michelin's, I honestly think you will like the Michelin LTX A/T 2's much better, and Michelin backs them with a 60,000 mile warranty (personally seen more than a hand full of guys that run them on the "highway" getting just about 80,000 miles out of them). I come from working with tires, going on 12 years now, seen just about everything you could imagine. I have had both brands on my vehicles, and if I was going to buy 4 new tires, Michelins FTW, especially since they are just about the same price.

a friend of mine just put 74,000 on his set of nitto's. he drives hgihway dirt mud tows the whole nine. thats why i was concidering them. those michelin's have a tread pattern similar to my eagle ls2's. they hook like crazy don't get me wrong. hell i broke my rear left axle twice with them when i was running 2wd. but it seems like everytime i turn around they are out of balance. i can get them balanced and they run smooth as can be. the next week they shake all over the place above 55mph.

not saying the michelin's will do that. its just so hard to pick a good tire. it sucks!!!!
