Thats good to know. I picked up the 12k with the synthetic rope because I hate cable and it came with more cool gadgets like the wireless remote and a cool big hook.
Fabbed up a little removable winch mount so I can store the winch in my garage when not in use, and so I can hook it to anything with a hitch. **** is heavy doh
Was it one of the Harbour freight winches? I've never had a winch I have a big ole bubba rope for off-roading and usually use a come-along for winching things onto trailers. I'm excited to have my car hauler set up so I can break down, Uber home get one of my other trucks (If they aren't already broke) hook up the car hauler, and go recover myself. Or hopefully, just help friends and family.
Bo it was a genuine Polaris winch. From China. Or maybe Mexico. But rated for 3500... on flat ground not uphill over rocks the size of a Prius etc lol.

Ive got an old *** ProComp 15k winch on the blazer. Run a harbor freight 12k on the flat bed and ran an HF 3k on the four wheeler. Haven’t had any issues with any of them.

I bet you can get lower. I ran 11 with the 35s on 15s for the Toyota. 20 is better than nothing, but if the wheel is narrow you can drop a bit more, imo
