I don't understand how Florida has legalized golf carts to be street driven in many towns but not SxSs. If they were I'd get one they are so much fun! I'm jealous of yall that have rocks and endless desert to explore.

It's still 40 min drive out to the area we normally ride. Still worth it tho. Here they aren't street legal right out the box, but they can be made to be. Just like any other vehicle they have to have mirrors, horn, lighted license plate, and be registered and insured. Most people don't go all the way and have them registered properly, with the DMV, because its a pain in the ***. As long as you don't drive like a **** the cops leave you alone in them. I will say tho it is RARE to see one on the road here. A few weekends ago I had to cut out of our ride early from my group and I took the highway 6 miles back to the trailers. 70mph definitely isn't ideal on the streets lol.

i remember as kids loading 2-3 deep on the 3 wheeler for a couple miles to the corner market & such... nobody cared.

granted the closest cops were also 20min out, and our 1-horse town "upgraded" the main intersection to a 4way stop a few years after that.

North Carolina tried to make UTV's street legal a few months ago. BUT the idots at the capitol wrote the bill up wrong. It's just like any other state that has them legal with turn singnals, lisens plates and all the other stuff.

Execpt

For engine size they wrote in the bill any UTV must have an engine size over 2499cc. It was suppose to say any enigne under 2499cc

LOL that is hilarious.

I would love to take a ride in a 2500cc UTV. That would be wild.

A high rpm 4.3 would be a riot in a rzr.

There’s a company out there that makes an LS swap kit for RZR’s.
